Villa Puri Indah - one of the most outstanding Bali villa rentals on the island.

All hype aside the magic of Bali remains, and time spent at our Bali villa rentals is no exception.

The fusion of indigenous and Indian cultures makes the Balinese people and their religion completely unique - an ancient and traditional society that is still incredibly alive, vital and colourful.

Bali is an island built by volcanoes. Their peaks dominate the landscape creating the rainfall for the southern rice-bowl, and offer spectacular and dramatic scenery.

A journey to the mountains through the soft terraced rice-fields on the back-roads can be an unforgettable experience. Have a coffee at one of the lookouts on the crater rim overlooking Lake Batur and ponder on the forces of nature! Perhaps a leisurely lunch in Ubud before a browse of the many art galleries (a town of painters) and a visit to the monkey forest. On the way home to your fabulous Bali villa pop into the Bird Park - it's very well done.

There is excellent diving here - either on the offshore islands or the northeast. Three hours from the villa takes you to the north through some enchanting scenery (some traffic to begin with but that goes away).

Turn your watches back - about 20 years - and you enter a different environment and different people. Dive on the wartime wreck of the USS Liberty just off shore, and close by great snorkeling can be had in the Amed area. Right off the beach, and in one bay snorkel the remains of another wartime relic - a twin screwed Japanese patrol boat. Again just off the beach and now home to thousands of colourful fish. There are dive companies and dive companies - guests of our Bali villa go with the professionals with the best rentals, prices and equipment.

If you can surf, boards are available for hire on the beach outside our Bali villa as are boogie boards, which are lots of fun and much easier to use. Water sports galore and a variety of rentals - white water rafting, jet skiing, parasailing, you name it but again a word of caution. Some are not well run and we won't let you use them. For golfers there are two excellent and different courses - one on the beach and one in the mountains - you can hire clubs etc. There's horseback riding, tennis, fitness centres, Waterbom Park, beach walking, go-karts, Hash House Harriers (an excuse for serious drinkers to get exercise) or why not a few laps of the Puri Indah pool.
